Eastern hog-nosed skunk (Conepatus leuconotus) is one of the eight skunk species found in Mexico. Its range includes a large area of North America, including Mexico. C. leuconotus is relatively abundant and very conspicuous in the areas in which it inhabits. The species is constantly hunt without reason although in some places of Mexico its meat is considered as medicinal.
