En esta carta al editor se destaca la normatividad mexicana referente a la colecta científica y al descubrimiento y descripción de especies nuevas de mamíferos en este país. Considero que este comentario es pertinente para la comunidad mastozoológica, tanto nacional como extranjera, ante el aún frecuente trabajo de campo en territorio mexicano y el potencial descubrimiento de especies nuevas de mamíferos en el país.References
