Abstract

This study demonstrates the usefulness of ultrasonic bat detectors as a methodological tool to improve inventories of Neotropical bats to increase 40% the inventory of bats recorded with traditional capture methods in a deciduous lowland dry forest site in the Yucatan Peninsula.Key words: Chiroptera, bats, bat detectors, deciduous lowland forest, diversity inventories, Yucatan
